  18. Welcome to the first joint Public Domain and shareware CD rom from
  19. The Datafile and The CD Circle.  We decided that the CD rom with it's
  20. mass storage capabilities, ease of use and extremely low cost per
  21. megabyte was the ideal way to distribute Public Domain and Shareware.

  23. On this media the cost per megabyte works out at around 12p or
  24. another way of looking at it would be per 800k disc, that works out
  25. at just 8p!!! It would have been possible to put a lot more onto
  26. this rom but that pushes the price up and with limited resources
  27. we decided to stick to the cheaper 250meg limit.
  28.  
  29. First of all we would like to thank the following authors whose work
  30. can be found on this rom.  Much is Public Domain, some is Freeware
  31. and some is Shareware.  May we ask you to register any shareware
  32. programme that you find useful and especially any that you use on a
  33. regular basis after the 14/28 day trial period.
